Topeak to Launch Modular Bike Range

After eight years in development Topeak is close to launching the Jango modular bike range in Europe. The Jango bikes are built to accept a whole range of Topeak accessories including racks, pumps, mudguards, computers, trailers, mini tool kits and other Topeak items, all of which simply clip on to the bike.

This “plug and play” approach means that the customer buys a bike with certain chosen accessories and can then add more later. The linking of components with the sale of a new bike is quite common but the thing that differentiates these bikes is that they are specifically designed for a particular accessory brand to be easily fitted. This is an approach used successfully by the motor industry in the sale of add ons.

A personalised name tag that cannot be unscrewed is also fitted to the bike. The range includes mens and womens 700c and 26” models and a mens full suspension MTB.
