Shimano has acquired Pearl Izumi in a deal which will see Pearl Izumi become a wholly owned subsidiary of Shimano’s US operations, continuing to operate from its facilities in Colarado and Germany. Pearl Izumi is to be maintained as a stand alone company with its own management team.

Shimano’s acquisition includes the rights to Pearl Izumi sales and distribution throughout North and South America, Europe, Australia and other selected countries but not Japan and most of Asia.
