Shimano Sales Jump

Shimano’s consolidated worldwide financial results for the 2007 calendar year show a 24% jump in sales to $AU 2bn approximately with profit increasing by a similar percentage to $AU700m approximately. The sales figure represented an all time high.


Projected sales for 2008 show that the company believes the sales rise will continue, but at a slower rate, with a forecast of 13.2% increase in the first half and 6.2% for the full year. Shimano also make fishing tackle but 75% of its business is the manufacture of bicycle components.
